Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski Receives High Level Chinese Delegation on Sustainable Development
Salem, Oregon - Oregon Governor Kulnogoski met with a high level Chinese delegation on sustainable development today. The delegation is headed by Vice Minister of Construction, the Honorable Huang Wei. The delegation is made up of 5 vice ministers and 11 mayors from China. It is the highest delegation from China to have visited the State of Oregon. The delegation came to Oregon to study the experience of Land Use Law and Green Building LEED applications in Oregon. Oregon Economic & Community Development Department and Governor’s Office are instrumental in the high level meeting on Saturday. Both sides exchanged views on further cooperation in the field of sustainable development. Oregon has become a center of sustainable development in the eyes of Chinese decision makers. The trip is sponsored by UTStarcom; a California based Telecom Company and organized by Octaxias Company, L.L.C.
